How to Use the New Egg-Time Counter (formerly Egg Timer) App
The popular Egg Timer app has officially rebranded as Egg-Time Counter. Along with the new name comes a modern interface and powerful features designed to help you manage your time perfectly. Whether you are boiling eggs, timing a workout, or managing work intervals, this guide will show you how to master the updated application. Set Up Quick Timers
The core functionality allows you to start tracking time in just two taps. Open the app to view the main dashboard. Select a preset time category from the home screen. Tap the Start button to begin the countdown. Use the Pause button if you need to interrupt the session. Customize Your Presets
You are no longer limited to standard countdown durations. You can build timers tailored to your specific daily routines. Navigate to the Presets tab at the bottom of your screen. Tap the + (Plus) icon in the top right corner. Name your timer and assign a specific duration. Choose a unique alert sound for that specific countdown. Tap Save to add it to your quick-access menu. Create Multi-Stage Intervals
The “Counter” update introduces sequential timing, which is ideal for complex recipes or workout circuits. Select Multi-Stage Mode from the advanced menu. Add your first interval (e.g., 5 minutes for boiling).
Tap Add Next Step to create a subsequent interval (e.g., 3 minutes for cooling). Customize the transition alert between the steps.
Run the sequence to let the app automatically transition through each phase. Adjust Advanced Settings
Take control of how the app behaves in the background and looks on your device. Access the Settings gear icon on the profile page.
Toggle Keep Screen On to prevent your phone from locking during a countdown.
Enable Critical Alerts so notifications bypass your phone’s silent mode.
Switch between Light and Dark themes to match your visual preference.
